Celebrating the Georgia Association of Garden Clubs, Inc.
The Mayor and Council of the City of Stonecrest would like to offer our congratulations on your 67th Annual Convention!
As the Georgia Association of Garden Clubs, Inc. was founded in 1954, chartered, and later incorporated as a non-profit organization of garden clubs, your goals, including the promotion of civic beauty, conservation of natural resources, and heightening environmental awareness in the community, are recognized and appreciated.
As your organization has flourished and structured its clubs into Districts, which continue to host its annual state-wide conventions, we recognize that the Gardenia District encompasses the Rhododendron, Pine Center, Artistic Dogwood, and Hibiscus Garden clubs.
We are honored to see your Association tending to backyard gardens, beautifying a nature trail or public highway, or implementing and participating in diverse projects. Congratulations on keeping alive the legacy of service and goodwill, as well as adorning the Georgia landscape, and making it known that there exists such an organization as a Black Garden Club.
