The community, elected officials, City staff, friends and family watched as Mayor-Elect Jazzmin Randall Cobble was officially sworn in as Stonecrest’s second mayor on June 17.

The inauguration was held at the former Sam’s Club in Stonecrest.

After the swearing-in ceremony, Mayor Cobble recognized everyone for their support.

“Let me start by thanking everyone who came here to celebrate with us,” said Mayor Cobble. “The best is yet to come for the City of Stonecrest. Our goal from day one was to be a world-class city and that is still our mission.”

Mayor Cobble acknowledged her and the City’s desire to move Stonecrest forward and recited each Councilmembers’ campaign slogan as a reminder of their collective vision to take the City to higher heights.

Mayor Cobble’s inauguration was historic as she became the first female and second mayor of the City.

She concluded her speech by echoing her campaign promise to Building Back a Better Stonecrest. “I cannot thank you enough for believing in our ability to bring this community back together as we all once again become Stonecrest proud,” added Mayor Cobble.
