The City of Stonecrest has begun the process of developing a comprehensive Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trail Plan. The Plan will help provide a safe, connected, and integrated multimodal network of pedestrian, cyclist and trail facilities. Stonecrest residents will have numerous opportunities to provide feedback during the planning process. Initial community engagement opportunities will take place this summer and are outlined below. Additional engagement activities will take place in the fall of 2023.
- Community Pop-Up Event #1: Representatives from the project team will be at the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve/Trailhead (3787 Klondike Rd., Stonecrest, GA 30038) from 8:30AM to 10:30AM on Saturday, July 15th.
- Community Pop-Up Event #2: Representatives from the project team will attend the City’s back-to-school event on Saturday, July 15th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, at the Browns Mill Recreation Center (5101 Browns Mill Road, Stonecrest, GA 30038).
- Community Open House: The project team will also host a Community Open House, where members of the public will have the opportunity to review project information, ask questions of team members, and provide feedback on goals and priorities for improving biking and walking in Stonecrest. The Open House will take place on Tuesday, July 25th from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at City Hall (3120 Stonecrest Blvd. #190, Stonecrest, GA 30038), in the Council Chambers. The meeting will be conducted as an open house with no formal presentation, so people are encouraged to come at any time between 6PM and 7:30PM
