Beginning in early July 2024, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) construction crews will begin installation of noise barriers along I-20 as part of the I285/I-20 East Exchange Project.
Construction project limits are between I-20 and Hillandale Drive (Salem Bible Church entrance to Lexington on the Green apartment Entrance) and between I-20 and Fairington Road (Fairington Blvd. to Tiburon Drive).
Some of the existing noise barriers will be removed and replaced and construction crews will also construct new noise barriers. Some intermittent noise stemming from these operations and associated construction traffic and equipment can be expected.
All properties along the Construction area will be notified by GDOT by postcards.
