City Elections
The City of Stonecrest operates under the direction of the mayor and city council. The Mayor and City Council consist of the following:

Terms and Qualifications
Council members are elected to four-year terms. The mayor is also elected to a four-year term, but elected at-large. To be eligible to run for a city council seat, a person must:
- Be 21 years of age;
- Have resided in the city and in the district the person seeks to represent for at least one year;
- Be a qualified elector of the city;
- Meet any other requirements as established by state law.
The Mayor and Council serve staggered terms. The following are the terms currently being served:
Mayor - 01/01/2024 – 12/31/2027
Council Member, District 1 - 01/01/2022 – 12/31/2025
Council Member, District 2 - 01/01/2024 – 12/31/2027
Council Member, District 3 - 11/17/2022 – 12/31/2025
Council Member, District 4 - 01/01/2024 – 12/31/2027
Council Member, District 5 - 01/01/2022 – 12/31/2025
Election Process
The city contracts with the Dekalb County Board of Elections to conduct city elections.
